December 28, 2020

We almost made it through the toughest year in Theatre Charlotte’s history. Then the unthinkable happened…

“Still we are Grateful…”

In the early hours of the morning on December 28th, an electrical fire broke out at Theatre Charlotte. While fire and rescue were able to contain the blaze, we still suffered a serious blow. The smoke cleared, but the result was devastating damage to almost all aspects of our everyday life: our offices, our seats, our props, and yes - our stage. All were mostly damaged beyond repair.

It’s been a long road to recovery, and we still have a ways to go. One thing is for certain: when it comes to community theatre, our community has never been more true. We’ve received an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from you, our friends and family.
