Rebuild Update #3

July 15, 2022

Recently, crews set to work removing the smoke-damaged siding on the front of the theatre. Underneath that siding, they found some architectural history!

Some features from the original front of the building (photo on the left from a newspaper article in 1946) had been somewhat preserved underneath the newer siding. The center photo shows the building after the siding was removed.

Unfortunately, they also uncovered a lot of old damage and rotten wood, so extra work had to be put into repairing and replacing many sections of the building. That work is now complete and the building has been wrapped in preparation for siding to be installed in the coming week!
