Hop on in. We’ve got the keys.

Although we can’t be in our own home on Queens Road, we’re hitting the road and coming to you.
Pack your bags and hop in -- we’re telling stories of the near and far, of fantasy and reality. Join us at various locations all over Charlotte to enhance the audience experience (and get us out of our houses!).

In our 93 years, we have never let anything stop us from producing shows. And our 94th will be no different.
Because no fire can stop the arts!

By Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron
Based on the book by Ilene Beckerman

This intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, will take you on a poignant journey through the heartbreak and the joy of so many women’s shared experiences. Five performers explore the lives of 28 women in monologues and ensemble pieces covering everything from the mortification of bra-buying to poorly-chosen prom dresses, bad lighting in fitting rooms, finding the right boots and high heels, wearing short skirts, and that chronic and seemingly unavoidable conundrum — having nothing to wear.

Detroit ‘67

By Dominique Morisseau

***Rescheduled***
Look for Detroit ‘67 in Season 95!

The world is shifting for two siblings running an after-hours juke joint in their basement to make ends meet. But when a mysterious woman finds her way into their lives, the siblings clash over much more than the family business. Currently among the top five most-produced playwrights, Dominque Morisseau’s powerful play unfolds an explosive moment in our history – the uprising that shocked the city of Detroit in 1967 – set to a vibrant soundtrack of the day's Motown music.

Our 94th season is the first in eight decades to take place at venues other than our home on Queens Road as our theatre will be under construction with fire repairs and improvements. We might feel a little homesick at times but we are excited to introduce you to some fantastic new spaces.
