Co-created and produced by Vito Abate it originated in the East Village in New York City running as a bi-monthly series (always on a Monday!) for 3 seasons (17 shows) in the early 90’s. It was later revived in Denver, CO in 2001 and premiered in Charlotte on February 29, 2008.

In addition to 10 minute or less pieces and special appearances by Phoebe, new regular segments to appear in each show this season are On the Spot, 768 words and Tonight's Surprise!: It could be the return of and fresh installment of one of jdi's popular segments such as picture this, Jorja (on my mind), Word for Word, City Queens, “I” piece, Tonight's Mad Lib, VOICE, just view it or...?
