 As
we near the finish line of our 82nd season, I would like
to thank all of you who supported us this year: ticket buyers,
patrons and volunteers. This was a tough year due to the turbulent
economy and the rough winter weather, but your support and
encouragement has helped carry us through. I hope you will all come
and see “Smoke on the Mountain,” (the final production of our Main
Stage Series), as well as “The Dixie Swim Club” (our collaboration
with Donna Scott Productions), and the season finale of ‘just do it’
(our themed reading and performance series presented in partnership
with Vito Abate). I know you will have a great time at all of
these.
I am truly excited about our upcoming 83rd
season, which includes the rousing family musical ANNIE, the
touching and funny STEEL MAGNOLIAS, the iconic comedy THE GRADUATE,
an all-time American classic drama THE GLASS MENAGERIE, and the
hugely popular musical RENT. I hope you take advantage of our
season ticket plans and save money on single ticket prices!
Theatre Charlotte is a volunteer-based
community theatre. We welcome you to join us as performers
(auditions are listed elsewhere on our website), backstage workers,
or ushers. You don’t need a lot of experience—just an interest in
participating in some of the best theatre presented in Charlotte.
Again, thank you for your support during the
2009-2010 Season! We’ll see you in September, as we kick off
2010-2011 with ANNIE!
