BILOXI BLUES

By Neil Simon
This is the continuing
saga of Eugene Morris Jerome, Neil Simon’s alter ego, whom we
last met in “Brighton Beach Memoirs.”
Eugene, a young army
recruit during World War II, is going through his basic
training, learning about life at boot camp in Biloxi,
Mississippi in 1943. Jotting down his memoirs, Eugene and five
other assorted enlisted men suffer under a hard-nosed D.I.,
endure the “mess” served up in mess hall, join together to visit
a local “woman of ill repute” and become adults, with hilarious
results.
Recommended for ages 13
and up.
