THEATRE CHARLOTTE
STUDENT THEATRE GUILD

The Theatre Charlotte Student Theatre Guild is a city-wide theatre
club.
The purpose is to provide outstanding theatre opportunities to teens
throughout Charlotte-Mecklenburg. The Guild is governed by the
teens themselves, with officers elected and members having input
into the focus and direction of the club.
 The
Guild holds monthly meetings and organizes workshops,
such as scene study, audition techniques, musical theatre master
classes, movement, voice-overs, writing, directing, design and
technical theatre. The Guild may sponsor panels of area
directors, writers, and casting agents to share their expertise.
The Guild also ushers for TC productions and volunteers for
work days and crews.
In July, the Student Theatre Guild and Theatre Charlotte will
sponsor an intensive two-week camp, culminating in a
student-produced and performed production on the main stage of
Theatre Charlotte.
Any interested student, ages 14 to 18, is eligible to join.
COST:
The cost of a year’s membership is $300 (which breaks down to about
$30 per month.) Membership fees may be paid all at once or in 4
payments of $75 each ($75 to start, $75 in November, $75 in January,
and $75 in March.) This fee covers participation in the summer
production. The summer production will hold open auditions for
non-club members who will pay a $300 participation fee, if
selected. Membership payments may be paid in cash, check or by
credit card. If the membership fee is prohibitive; there may be an
opportunity for scholarship funds to cover either part of the fee or
the entire fee. Please contact Ron Law, Theatre Charlotte’s
Executive Director, at

to find out how to apply.
The Theatre Charlotte Student Theatre Guild can be as successful,
fun and productive as you make it. Each year, you will have a voice
in getting what you want out of this experience. You will get out
of it what you put into it!
